The KZR INiG certification scheme is recognized by the European Commission and aligned with the requirements of the RED III Directive, which promotes the use of energy from renewable sources and sets strict sustainability criteria for biofuels. Compliance with these regulations is essential for companies wishing to participate in the biofuels supply chain within the European Union.
Baltic Control® conducted a comprehensive audit of the client’s trading and storage operations, verifying compliance with national sustainability requirements and EU regulatory obligations. The process included a detailed assessment of documentation, traceability systems, and sustainability criteria, ensuring that all requirements of the KZR INiG system were met.
As a result of the certification, the client obtained the right to operate on the Polish biofuels market in full compliance with RED III. The certification also increased the client’s credibility towards regulators and commercial partners, providing independent confirmation of sustainable and transparent operations.
This project demonstrates Baltic Control®’s expertise in certification and regulatory compliance, as well as its ability to support clients navigating complex sustainability frameworks. The certification also prepares the client for future integration with other recognized systems, such as ISCC EU or ISCC PLUS, reinforcing long-term compliance and market readiness.
