PN-EN ISO 50001:2018 Energy management system

A system built on the PN-EN ISO 50001:2018-09 standard improves energy efficiency while maintaining compliance with legal and other requirements that an organization must meet.

This standard is based on the European Standard EN 16001:2009, Energy management systems – Requirements and application guidelines (the Polish edition is: PN-EN 16001:2009) and the energy management system in force in the United States.

An organization implementing an energy management system implements its own energy policy and identifies particularly energy-intensive areas of its operations. This information, in relation to the so-called baseline energy use established in the standard, allows for the identification of necessary actions to increase energy management efficiency.
