Description
ISO 45001 is the first internationally recognized standard for occupational health and safety management. The standard helps organizations manage occupational health and safety processes and risks in a systematic and consistent manner.

ISO 45001 replaces BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and PN-N-18001:2004, which will be withdrawn on March 31, 2021. This means that by that time, all organizations with currently valid certificates issued to these standards are required to update their systems to the requirements of the new ISO 45001 standard to maintain continued certification.

The new standard was developed to increase compatibility with the current editions of the quality management system standards (ISO 9001:2015) and environmental management system standards (ISO 14001:2015). These standards have a uniform structure, consistent with the High Level Structure standard. The same document structure—namely, chapter numbering and the arrangement of requirements—significantly facilitates the integration of QMS, EMS, and OHS systems.

ISO 45001 addresses the most important issues related to OHS, providing the foundation for preventing accidents and occupational illnesses. It enables the implementation of effective protective measures that contribute to ensuring workplace safety. ISO 45001 certification is credible proof that all processes implemented in your organization are focused on ensuring safe working conditions.
Benefits of ISO 45001 certification:
• Minimizing the occurrence of occupational accidents,
• Reducing insurance costs,
• Minimizing the occurrence of occupational illnesses,
• Actions aimed at ensuring continuous improvement of the OHS policy implemented within the organization,
• Increased employee awareness of occupational safety,
• Compliance with legal requirements regarding OHS,
• Improved company image in the eyes of customers, suppliers, authorities, and investors
